Phillip James Ellerbee

Phillip "Phil" James Ellerbee, 61, of Sutherland, Virginia, went to be with our Lord, April 6, 2025. Phil was born January 23, 1964, to Felton and Carolyn Ellerbee, in Tifton, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Opal and James Henderson; paternal grandparents, Forrest and Estell Ellerbee; his father, Felton Ellerbee; his sister, Pamela Ellerbee Barrett; and his stepson, Christopher Bennett. He was devoted to his wife, Natalie, of 24 years, and accepted her two children, Justine and Christoper as his own.

He wouldn't hesitate to tell Natalie to come home from work and take her vehicle to be filled with gas. He was a loving provider and was always looking out for his family. He loved his pet Yorkies, fishing, and collecting knives as well as tools. He never met a stranger, as he just saw them as friends he hadn't met yet. He had hundreds of friends online, in Yorkie social groups, and always looked forward to in person gatherings with them.

He is survived by his wife, Natalie Ellerbee; his beloved mother, Carolyn Ellerbee (Tifton, GA); his brother, David Ellerbee (Tifton, GA); his brother-in-law, Allan Bennett (Waycross, GA); his daughter, Justine Inman and her husband, James (Tennessee); his niece, Lacey Ellerbee (Tifton, GA); his nephews, Tyler Ellerbee (Rhode Island) and Gage Barrett and his wife, Courtney (Tifton, GA); his great-nieces, Isabella Ellerbee (Tifton, GA) and Charlotte Ellerbee (Rhode Island); and numerous aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Friday, April 11, 2025, in the chapel, at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private.
