Phyllis Allen Hanzlik

Phyllis Allen Hanzlik, 84, went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2025. She was born to the late Lenwood Allen and Ellen Cooke Allen and was raised in Essex County, VA. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Lewis Hanzlik, Jr.; her children, William Hanzlik and Teresa Hanzlik Long; and grandson, Earl Long. She was an avid churchgoer as well and enjoyed gardening and cooking for family. She also cherished time on the boat and fishing with family. She never met a stranger and could make anyone laugh. She was the heart of the home and will be missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, 10:00 am, at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Petersburg, VA. The family will receive friends an hour prior. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery. After interment reception will follow.
