Phyllis Walker Kilbourne

Phyllis Walker Kilbourne, 89, of Petersburg, passed away on January 13, 2014. Born in Appalachia, VA. she was the daughter of the late Harry and Maxie Bond Walker; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Kilbourne, Sr.; and her brother, Jack Bond Walker. Mrs. Kilbourne was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Petersburg, and was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her three children, Sandy Smith and husband, Guthrie, Robert Kilbourne, Jr., and Leslie Patton and husband, Dale; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA with the Rev. Dr. Gerald Miller, officiating.
