Preston Earl Hinson Jr.

Preston Earl Hinson, Jr., 81, of Dinwiddie, VA passed away quietly on September 21, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, Preston Earl Sr. and Ruth Hodnett Hinson. His is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Emma Jean Hinson; a devoted son, Michael Earl Hinson; two sisters, Joyce Boswell (Johnny) and Nancy Hamilton (Eric); three brothers, Phillip Hinson (Vera), Alton Hinson (Barbara) and David Hinson (Kathy); sister-in-law, Helen Martin (Earl); and numerous nieces and nephews. Since the day Earl met Christ he has been a devoted Christian and attended Ettrick United Methodist Church regularly until he was home-bound. He was always faithful to Christ, then family and extended family such as the Christian campground they were so blessed to attend every summer, Appalachian Ministries in West Virginia with many friends. Earl had many hobbies which included gardening, fishing and hunting. The family wishes to thank his two faithful caregivers, Marty Moran and Hope Nellis. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Ettrick United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bob Lamb and the Rev. James Blankenship, officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ettrick United Methodist Church, P.O.
