Preston Wilson

Preston Thomas Wilson, 79, of Petersburg, passed away peacefully at his home on May 27, 2006. He was the son of the late Louis A. & Mary Lane Wilson and was predeceased by a brother Robert L. Wilson. He was a retired Instructor at Fort Lee, Virginia and was a professor at Southside Virginia Community College where he served for 7 years; he was an active member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church, a graduate of the University of Richmond and the College of William and Mary. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife of 53 years Jane Smith Wilson, two sons Thomas Karl Wilson of Petersburg, Bruce Glen Wilson of Rushmere, Virginia, daughter; Lynn Wilson Mogrovejo and husband Jorge of Ecuador South America, grandchildren; Heidi, Jeremy, Jonathan Mogrovejo, all of South America, and Christopher Wilson of Newport News. There will be a funeral service held at the Walnut Hill Baptist Church in Petersburg, Tuesday May 30, 2006 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Steve Jones officiating; the family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia.
