Pretlow Roper Kaichen

Pretlow Roper Kaichen, 84, of Prince George, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. Born in Petersburg, VA she was the daughter of the late Philip R. Roper, Jr. and Virginia P. Bryant Roper. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Thomas F. Van Keuren; and late husband, Bishop Troy Kaichen.
Pretlow Kaichen was a faithful member of Christ and Grace Episcopal Church. She was a past member of the Petersburg Garden Club and past employee of the American Greetings Corp.
She is survived by her children, Susan Van Keuren Powroznik (Joe), Virginia Van Keuren, Thomas Forrest Van Keuren, Jr. (Kathleen), and Frank Philip Van Keuren (Rhonda); grandchildren, J.V. Powroznik (Michelle), Meredith Powroznik, Van Powroznik, Chad Van Keuren, Philip Van Keuren, Jr., and Tyler Van Keuren; sisters, Nell Roper Howard and Mary Paul Roper Hartman; and special caregivers, Cheryl, Yvette, and Terri.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 5, 2021 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A public committal service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Blandford Cemetery, all are welcome to attend. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Christ & Grace Episcopal Church in Petersburg.
