Rachael Via Johnson

Rachael Via Johnson entered her Heavenly home, July 12, 2019. After celebrating her 101st birthday on June 6th. She was born in Patrick County and lived in Hopewell, Va. most of her life. For the last 17 years she has resided with her daughter in Prince George. She is survived by her only daughter Susan Johnson Robertson; three Grandchildren, Dr. Michael Layne Hartsell and wife Anya of Thailand; Mrs. Amy Michelle Hartsell Dodson and husband Gary of Hopewell; Christopher T. Robertson and wife Brittany of Disputanta; seven Great Grandchildren, Justin, Destiny, Christian, Trinity, Kaylin, CJ, and Kristen. She is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years Edward Lane Johnson; her mother, father, step-father, 3 brothers, and 4 sisters. She was a member of West End Presbyterian Church for 89 years, where she taught Sunday school for 35 years. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell, VA. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
