Rachel Rediker Johnson

Rachel Rediker Johnson, 79, of Chester, VA passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017. Born in Fort Fairfield, ME, she was the daughter of the late Wiley and Helen McGinley Rediker; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert C. Johnson, Jr.; a son, Gerry Johnson; and a daughter, Betsy Johnson. Mrs. Johnson retired from Holiday Bowl after 30 years of service. She is survived by her three daughters, Marie Johnson, Paula Johnson and Christy Johnson; two grandchildren, Steven and Denise (Joseph); a great-granddaughter, Erin Rachel Ripchick; brothers, Paul Rediker (Jan) and Wayne Rediker (Janie); and a sister, Lorna McGee. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA with the Rev. Dr. Ivan Perkinson, officiating.
