Ralph Hart

Ralph West Hart, 93, of Richmond, Va., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, with family at his side. Ralph was born in Dendron, Va., on September 2, 1918 to the late Edward Lee and Sarah Ocie Hart. He attended Shenandoah College & Conservatory of Music and graduated from William & Mary University. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Ralph and Hannah owned a deli in Falls Church, Va. for several years before Ralph went to work for George H. Rucker, Co., as a mortgage broker, until he retired in 1984. In retirement Ralph continued to enjoy gardening, music, and his family who will miss him dearly. He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Hannah Wallace Hart, formerly of Huntington, WV; children, Joyce L. Hart, (Patrick) of Richmond, Va., David T. Hart, (Kelly), of Clifton, Va., Thomas W. Hart (Caroline) of Lucas, TX; granddaughters, Charlotte, Hannah, Emma, Liza; siblings, Glenn E. Hart, of Winston-Salem, NC., J. Darold Hart, of Dendron, VA., Philip R. Hart (Jean) of Richmond, Va., Sara Gene Joyner, of Richmond, Va. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., Friday, June 29, 2012, at J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 West Hundred Road, Chester, Va. 23831. The funeral service will follow immediately at 4:00 P.M.
