Ralph Kidd

Ralph Milton Kidd, Jr, age 60, a life long resident of Stony Creek, Va. Died June 1, 2012 at Southside Regional Medical Center, in Petersburg, Va. after a period of declining health. He was the son of Ralph M. Kidd and the late Marjorie Johns Hart Kidd of Stony Creek, Va. He attended the Sussex County School system and was a graduate of Tidewater Academy. He was a retired clerk with Food Lion. Mr. Kidd was a member of the Stony Creek Volunteer Fire Department and a member of Fort Grove United Methodist Church. Ralphie loved trains, cars, going to the movies and Kitty Pooh! In addition to his father, he is survived by an aunt, Mrs. Shirley Johns of Victoria, Va.; his Stony Creek â??Folksâ?, Mary Hunt Rose Hatcher, Richard G. Kidd, Richard G. Kidd, Jr., Jim Kidd, Christopher Kidd and his wife Lynne, John Kidd and his wife Amy, Agnes P. Hudson, Dannie Hudson, Helen H. Benford, Joyce H. Stark, Pat M. Taylor, Woody Wheeler, Otto Wachsmann, Bruce and Claudia Norfleet; cousins, Ruby Joyce Baird, Clara Dell Mills, Gene Kidd, Betty Lou Cummings, Frances Sheffield, Elaine Piercy, Nelson Baird, Lin Mills, Michael Mills, Wanda Bailey, and all the many cousins we canâ??t list of the Kiddâ??s, Hartâ??s, and Johnâ??s families. The family will receive friends at the home in Stony Creek, Va. on Sunday June 3, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Monday June 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Blandford Cemetery with Rev. Dan Armstrong officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fort Grove United Methodist Church, C/O Greg McGarth, 16048 Emerald Road, Stony Creek, Va. 23882.
