Ray Allen Ain

Ray Allen Drain, 65, of Hopewell, VA passed away on March 14, 2024. He was born in Lexington, VA to Marietta Miller Drain and the late Johnnie Allen Drain. He is survived by his mother; his wife, Mary Ann Drain; his children, Sarah Potter (Sean), Jonathan Drain, and Katie Drain; his beloved grandchild, Charlotte Potter; his sisters, Charlene West (Paul), Libby Walker (Mike), and Tina Drain; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ray was a ray of light in the life of his family. He officiated marriages for his sister, niece, nephew, friends and family alike. He was well-read, be it stories to brighten your day, the Word of God, novels, or history books. He could often be found in his favorite seat, watching historical dramas and biographies or the classics of film and television. A service will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour prior.
