Raymond Darden Birdsong

Raymond Darden Birdsong, 76, of Chesterfield passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. and Helen Hitchcock Birdsong; and his beloved wife, Iris Wooldridge Birdsong and son, Wesley Birdsong. Mr. Birdsong was a retired utilities engineer with Chesterfield County. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Leigh Birdsong; stepsons, Mike Barbour and wife, Dee, Steve Barbour, Matt Barbour, Scott Barbour; brother, Robert W. Birdsong; three grandchildren, Melissa Barbour, Amy Barbour, Ben Barbour, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday October 5, 2012 in Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W. Hundred Road, Chester, Va. 23831.
