Raymond Earl Branch

Raymond Earl “Squirrel” Branch, 80, of Prince George County, VA, died Wednesday, November 28, 2018. Born and raised in Petersburg, VA, he was the son of the late, Catherine Wright and step-son of Lester Wright. He retired from Prince George County as the Fleet Manager of the County Garage. He enjoyed bass fishing, assisting with auctions with Jimmy and Anne Grindstaff, and working with Bubba Bulifant and Dominion Fireworks. He served in the U.S. Army and National Guard where he was a decorated marksman with the rifle team. He was a long-time member of the Hopewell Moose Lodge. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his three brothers. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Colleen Frances Branch; his children, Penny Booth (Gary), David Branch (Sharon), Kevin Branch (Traci), Letitia Wickline, and Marcus Sifers (Linda); sister, Lesta Lane; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
