Raymond Milton Edwards, Jr.

Raymond "Red" Milton Edwards Jr., 91, of Hopewell, VA died Sunday, June 23, 2019 and joined his beloved wife Betty. Born June 1st 1928 in Dendron VA., Raymond lived and loved, worked and worshiped in Hopewell. Raymond passed peacefully to his heavenly reward at home early Sunday morning. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth Louise Edwards "Betty"; a daughter, Marianne Kirtley; a son, David McBroom, and both parents. Left to treasure his memory, are his son, Douglas Edwards;
daughter, Laurabeth Anderson; son; John McBroom; brother, Robert Edwards; his family, and dozens of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Raymond worked for Allied Chemical for 40 years and served proudly in the United States Marine Corps. The family will receive friends, Thursday, June 27, 2019 from 6p.m. to 8p.m. at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
