Raymond Taylor Hawkins, Sr.

Raymond Taylor Hawkins, Sr., 63, of Dinwiddie passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Born January 28, 1957, he was the son of the late Mildred M. and David Lunsford Hawkins, Jr., and was also preceded in death by his brother, David Lunsford Hawkins III. Raymond attended church every Sunday in the Dinwiddie Health and Rehab Center, where he was a resident. He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. A hard worker, Raymond was recognized as an amazing dry-waller and was very skilled in anything to do with general construction. He also worked for many different companies as an ironworker. He is survived by his three children, Raymond Taylor Hawkins, Jr., Lisa Marie Hawkins, Richard Anthony Hawkins; eight grandchildren, Samuel, Colby, Zoey, Brianna, Gabriel, Braelyn, Kaelyn, Ryelan; brother, Phillip Earl Hawkins; and nieces, nephews, other extended family members and many friends. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss Funeral Homes, 6616 Boydton Plank Road, N. Dinwiddie, Virginia 23803.
