Raymond Jones

Raymond Purty Jones, age 78, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away Monday, May 24, 2010. He was born in Brunswick County, VA the son of the late Harvey and Lois Burgess Jones. Mr. Jones was a Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He spent his working career with A & P Grocery Stores retiring as a store manager with 30 plus years of service. Mr. Jones is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Jane Jones; daughters, Donna Yoder and husband, Rex of Chesterfield, Sherri Monger and husband, James, of Chester, and Raye Jones, of Richmond; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and other family and friends. A celebration of Mr. Jones life will take place on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 4 p.m. in the Chester Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
