Raymond Allie Burgess, Jr. 66, of Prince George, VA, died Sunday, April 04, 2010 at his residence. He was a retired maintenance mechanic with Hopewell Redevelopment and Housing Authority and a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond A. Sr. and Mable Pierce Burgess and his sister, Elizabeth Hogan. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jones Burgess of Prince George, a daughter, Gail P. McDole and husband, David, of Dinwiddie, VA, a grandson, Clayton G. Hartman of Dinwiddie, a sister, Dorothy B. Riggs of Kingsport, TN, two brothers, William L. Burgess and wife, Ruth, of Hopewell and Earl F. Burgess and friend, Denise, of Dinwiddie and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 6, 2010 from 7 â?? 8:30 p.m. at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, Prince George County, with The Rev. George Dembeck, pastor, officiating.
