Reade Shook

Reade Worden Shook, 83, of Chester passed away on December 17, 2010. He was the son of the late Reade S. and Doris Worden Shook, and was also preceded in death by his step-father, Harry Lance. Mr. Shook was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church, and also the Chester Civitan Club. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor H. Shook; three children, Alan Shook and wife, Deborah, Douglas Shook and wife, Marjorie, Jill LaPrad and husband, Dennis; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Nancy Troyer, and Shirley Reams. A memorial service will be at 11:00 AM on January 8, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church, with the Reverend Richard J. Finck officiating. Inurnment will be in the church memorial gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 13028 Harrowgate Rd., Chester, Va. 23831.
