Rebecca Lyn Brown

Rebecca "Becky" Lyn Brown, of Prince George County, VA, born on July 8, 1945, to Esther Marie Staley Brown Poarch and Walter Prior Brown, Jr.; left this earth peacefully in her home after a battle with cancer, on December 11, 2022, surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her son, David Dilday and his wife, Tracey with daughters, Madelynn and Avery, of Mount Dora, Florida; and her daughters, Stephanie Chase, of Henrico and Amy Quidley, of Richmond.
Becky retired from Defense Supply Center Richmond, as a computer analyst, in 1996. She was an amazing artist, able to create anything her eclectic mind could dream up in any medium to show her love and appreciation. She always took great care to provide her family and friends with beautiful memories for birthdays and holidays and her Christmas celebrations were legendary. She had an immense love and appreciation for the beauty of life and all of God's creations.
She was a gifted dancer and a former member of the Richmond Shag Club. She was The National Living Legend of Dance in 1998 and Inducted into The Virginia Shaggers Hall of Fame in 2004
The Family would like to thank the Prince George Police Department and Rescue Squad for their care and kindness through this trying time
A private celebration of life will be held on the beach when the weather is warm, as she would want it that way.
