Rebecca Foster Calhoun

Rebecca Foster Calhoun, 90, of Petersburg, passed away at Southside Regional Medical Center on Saturday, January 22, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Nellie Tucker Foster and John Asa Foster. Mrs. Calhoun is also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wayne Calhoun; sister, Nellie Foster Townsend; brother, Waverly Lee Foster; son-in-law, Andrew Ellis; and grandson-in-law, Corey.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia “Angie” Hutson and her husband, Pastor Ken, and Karen Ellis; son John Calhoun; two grandchildren, Brad Ellis and his wife, Amanda Jane, and Sara Ostdiek; three great-grandchildren, Makenzie Lillianna Ellis, Zachary Ostdiek, and Eli Ostdiek.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
