Rebecca Layfield

Rebecca Allen Layfield, age 82, of Chesterfield, died Saturday, April 8, 2006. Mrs. Layfield was a retired clerk with the Virginia Employment Commission and was a member of Bon Air United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Zollie J. and Lucy Fisher Phelps. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Cyril C. Layfield; one sister Nancy Mendoza of Midlothian; and two nieces, Betty Smith and husband Bob of FL, and Susie A. Mincey and husband Paul of Chester. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 10, at the Chesterfield Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park at 1 p.m. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
