Rebecca Lynn Lewis Wells

Rebecca Lynn Lewis Wells, 65, of Carson, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, surrounded by her children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry Alton and Rebecca Brown Lewis; and husband, Vernon Wells. Becky loved her family dearly and was a great friend to many. She enjoyed crafting in her spare time. She was Momma and Nena, not only to her children and grandchildren, but to many special people in her life. Becky retired in 2018, after 20+ years of service, as a corrections officer with the Riverside Regional Jail. She was proud of her job and treated the inmates with dignity while performing her duties. She is survived by her daughter, Christina Lilly (Nancy); and son, Alex Wells; four grandchildren, Emily, Layton, Kaitlyn, and Charlie; one sister, Faye Lewis; and numerous extended family members. The family is very grateful for the loving care of Fayith Bagby, and the support of Centra Hospice-Lynchburg. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
