Regina Tatalajski

Regina â??Jeanneâ? L. Tatalajski, 89, of Colonial Heights, passed away on December 10, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Opalach Zebrowski and was also preceded in death by her husband, John L. Tatalajski; four brothers, Frances, Edward, Leon, and Carl Zebrowski all of Philadelphia, PA; a grandson, Matthew Collins of Chester, VA; and a granddaughter Natalie Schlein of Palmyra, VA. More affectionately known as Mrs. T., she was very devoted to her church, loved to play bingo, and was active in the school system. She was constantly giving of herself to others, especially to her children and grandchildren. Mrs. T. never met a stranger. She is survived by three daughters, Regina â??Cookieâ? Collins and husband, Russell of Chester, VA., JoAnn Newby and husband, Charles â??Bubbaâ? of Millersville, MD, Julie â??Jillâ? Schlein and husband, Uffe of Palmyra, VA.; a brother, Aloysius Zebrowski of Philadelphia, PA.; sister, Marie Tinneny of Philadelphia, PA; six grandchildren, Courtney Santella of Prince George, VA., Christopher Collins and wife, Cindy of Prince George, VA., John Collins of Chester, VA., Tim Newby of Baltimore, MD., Eric and Kelsey Schlein of Palmyra, VA.; three great-granddaughters, Alexis and Cayley Santella of Prince George, VA., Peyson Collins of Chester, VA.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends. A rosary service will be said at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home, with visitation to follow until 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the Memorial Chapel on Fort Lee, with Father Timothy Hubbs as celebrant.
