Reuben Douglas Melton, Jr.

Reuben Douglas Melton Jr., 58 who was our beloved Son, brother and father went to be with the lord and his daddy on Friday, July 17, 2016. Reuben was preceded in death by his father Reuben D. Melton Sr., his maternal grandparents Ada and Ira Smith and paternal grandparents Gracie and Lucien Melton. He is survived by his beloved mother, Barbara Smith Melton; loving sister, Debra Melton; loving cherished daughter, Jennifer Melton and her mother Andrea Melton along with many loving aunts and cousins. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Francis Bon Secours Hospice.
