Reuben Turner

Reuben Everette Turner, 81, died Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at Autumn Care Convalescent Center in Suffolk, VA. Born in Isle of Wight County, Va he was the son of the late Fletcher E. Turner and Lizzie Gardner Turner. Reuben was a retired truck driver. He is survived by a daughter, Jean Turner; one grandson, Don Bulls; two granddaughters, Letitia Austin and Donna Story; one great-granddaughter, Reba Whitehurst; two sisters, Doris Joyner and Bunnie Cook; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Celia Mae Turner and Estelle Pittman. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in Ivor Cemetery, Ivor, Virginia. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, is in charge of arrangements.
