J. Faria

Rev. Alfred John Faria, 62, of Hopewell died Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at his residence. He was a professional musician and was the owner of Star Studio and Recording Co. Rev. Faria was a member of the National Rifle Association, The Dive Shop, American Legion Post 146 and was the senior pastor of Universal Life Church in Hopewell. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Rev. Faria was the son of the late Emanuel Faria. He is survived by his wife Anna Marie Faria of TX, three daughters, Teresa L. Hashbarger of Sutherland, VA, Lisa N. Thompson of Glen Burnie, MD, Tanya Faria of Clarksville, TN, his mother, Gloria Dysart of Clarksville, TN, two sisters, Mary Lee Morris of St. Petersburg, FL and Darlene Boyd of North Carolina and 8 grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, December 30, 2005 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 31, 2005 at 2:00 PM in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA.
