A Reece Williamson

May 15, 1942 — February 25, 2023

Reva Reece Williamson, 80, of Dinwiddie County, went to be the Lord Saturday, February 25, 2023. Born in Del Rio, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Patton Abraham and Viola Messer Reece. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Walker Williamson; brothers, William Toy Reece and Everette Lawson Messer (Alma Lee); sister, Eunice Reece Lowe; nephews, Tony Willis and Donald Messer; and niece, Anette Lowe. She was a longtime member of Kenwood United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She began her career at the Bank of Virginia, where she worked for several years before deciding to stay home and raise her family. Reva loved her family and friends and devoted her life to them. She was an avid bowler and loved to spend summers relaxing at Lake Gaston. Reva was an incredible baker and blessed others with her delicious baked goodies and cakes. She was a friend to everyone she met and will be fondly remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Reva is survived by her daughters, Tammy Watkins (Keith) and Vicki Harrison (Atwell); grandchildren, Adam Watkins (Emily), Holly Allen (Sam), Joshua Harrison(Alycia), Zachary Harrison (Lauren), and Ryan Banning (Natalie); great-grandchildren, Maggie and Henry Watkins, Tripp, Hattie and Lucy Allen; sisters, Ila Cagle (Roy) and Ovella Willis (Lee); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, and a funeral service will follow at 11:00 am, at Kenwood United Methodist Church, 25200 Ritchie Ave., N. Dinwiddie, VA 23803. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kenwood United Methodist Church. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
