Ricardo Togna

Ricardo Louis Togna, 83, of Chester, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012 at his residence. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY, he was the son of the late Louis and Olga Innocenti Togna. Mr. Togna was a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He was a proud member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He retired from Allied Chemical after 40 years of service and was a Little League baseball coach in the Enon area for many years. Mr. Togna was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Saralyn Togna and a grandson, Alden Togna. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dora C. Togna; sons, Michael Togna of Midlothian, Mark Togna of Glen Allen, and Keith Togna and wife, Molly, of Chester; grandchildren, Matthew, Amy, Gabriel, Cothran, and Owen Togna; a brother, Albert Togna and wife, Peg, of Poughkeepsie, NY; extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 17th, at the Chester Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church in Hopewell with Father Frank Wiggins as celebrant. Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Avenue, Richmond.
