Richard Birchett

Richard Gary Birchett, 57, of Westbrook Road, Prince George County, died Thursday, July 22, 2004 at his residence. He was born in Richmond, Virginia and had been a long time resident of the Hopewell/Prince George area. Mr. Birchett was a retired pipefitter from Honeywell, Inc. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Daniel Birchett, Jr. and Marguerite Costello Birchett and a daughter Rachel M. Hawley. Mr. Birchett is survived by three sons, Richard Gary Birchett, Jr. of Hopewell, Robert E. Birchett, Ryan C. Birchett, both of Prince George, 5 grandchildren, Johnny, Justin, Trey, Kaitlyn, Mattie, one brother, Thomas Daniel Birchett of Prince George, and one sister, Ruth Birchett Willoughby of Birmingham, AL. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 25, 2004 from 7:00 to 8:30PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 26, 2004 at 1:00PM in the funeral home chapel with Charles Crocker of New Jerusalem Fellowship Church officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
