Richard Dabney

Richard T. Dabney, known by his family, friends and loved ones as â??Rickyâ? or â??R Jâ?, 53 years of age and a lifelong resident of Chesterfield County, went to be in the arms of the Lord, May 2, 2009. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Franklin Dabney and mother, Delma Newcomb Dabney. He leaves to cherish his memory a son, Richard T. Dabney, Jr. and devoted loving companion, Alice â??Fayâ? Campbell. He is survived by his sister, Ruby Dabney Andrews and three brothers, Robert Michael Dabney and wife Joy, Jesse Lorenzo Dabney and wife Wanda, and Dwight Maurice Dabney and Lisa Roberts. Ricky will be genuinely missed by a host of many other relatives and friends. Ricky was employed by Chesterfield County Public School System as a Facilities Coordinator and previously worked for Benjamin Moore & Company for almost 25 years until plant closure. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2009 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
