Richard Krumel

Richard Ray Krumel, 85, of Hopewell, Virginia, died Monday, May 11, 2009, at Southside Regional Medical Center. Mr. Krumel was a retired employee of Philip Morris and served in the Merchant Marines. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Ray and Elizabeth Helen Ralph Krumel, a daughter, Susan K. Sherman and a brother, Glenn L. Krumel. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Dail Krumel, a daughter, Kristie K. Moore, both of Hopewell, two sons, Charles â??Chuckâ? B. Krumel of Key West, FL and Richard Ray Krumel, Jr. of Hopewell, five grandchildren, Courtney B. Krumel, Nicholas W. Glass, Kenny R. Glass, Elliott P. Moore and Kari K. Moore, and one sister Benita K. Foussekis of Chester. Funeral services and interment will be private. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
