Richard N. Mohn Sr.

Richard N. Mohn, Sr., of Ford, went home on Thursday December 27, 2012. He was preceded by his parents Norman and Rose Dipple Mohn, his Mom Gladys Wilde Mohn, and a sister Colleen Wilde. Richard was a Veteran of the United States Navy retiring as a Petty Officer First Class after 20 years of dedicated service to his country. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of American Legion Post 2, J. Thomas Wyatt, member of the United Lutheran Church in Grand Forks ND. After retiring from the Navy Richard was employed by Camp Pickett, Virginia as a civil servant, for 12 years. He is survived by his wife; Barbara Mohn of Petersburg, sons; Richard N. Mohn, Jr. and wife, Crystal of Hopewell, Dewane E. Mohn of Carson, Ronald “Butch” K. Mohn and wife, Melissa of Wilsons, grandchildren; Kevin, Katelinn, Ricky, and Danielle Mohn, Destiny and Dylan Jarratt, great grandchildren; Paige and Sommer Upton, Jacob and Faith Regal, sisters; Shawna Schuler and husband, Gary of Fergus Falls, MN, Darla Brehm and husband, Mark of Cando, ND, numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be in Grand Forks ND in August of 2013.
