Richard Wayne "Head" Rainey

Richard Wayne Rainey, 44, of Dinwiddie, known by his family and many friends as “Head,” died Friday, September 25, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Wayne “Pete” Rainey. He is survived by his son, Johnathan Richard Rainey; daughters, Victoria Colleen Rainey and Brittany Nicole Rainey; his mother, Cathy D. Rainey; brothers, Donald Wayne Rainey and William Samuel “Billy” Rainey; his beloved girlfriend, Melanie Grissom; and a cousin, Donald “Bo” Hamilton. Head is also survived by longtime friends, Lewis Henshaw and Wayne Huskey, the entire Swamp Rat family, and all of the many friends he met on the mud bog scene. Head will be remembered as a loving and caring man who would do anything to help you. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2015 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 6616 Boydton Plank Road, N. Dinwiddie, VA 23803.
