Andy was loved by many people and was known for his quick wit and sense of humor, qualities he never lost even on the darkest days of his illness. In addition he was so thankful to all who helped him that it was not uncommon for the medical staff to tell him, "You are my favorite patient." Andy was an avid photographer. He loved photographing nature scenes and sporting events. He grew up watching the Redskins with his family and remained a Redskin fan his entire life. He inherited his father's musical talent and thus had a love of music and a beautiful tenor voice. He spent many happy mornings assisting his father, the late "Skitch" Rudy with the Chester Presbyterian Children's Choir. A true dog lover, Andy will be greeted in heaven by many wagging tails. He will leave behind his and Alexis's deeply loved rescue dogs, Niko and Sally. Many were touched by Andy's special spirit and he will be missed more than words can express.
