Richard Lee Swinson

Richard Lee Swinson, age 67, of Chesterfield, VA, died on Friday, March 5, 2021. He was born in Fayetteville, NC, son of the late Eldridge L. Swinson. Richard is survived by his mother, Margaret Edwards Swinson; his loving wife of 47 years, Deborah H. Swinson; his son, Aubrey Swinson and wife Ryan, of Simpsonville, SC. and their children, Crawford, Davis and Whit Swinson; his daughter, Meredith Mogensen and husband David, of Amsterdam, NL, and their children, Matilda and Peter Mogensen; his sister, Beverley Roach and husband Jim, of Myrtle Beach, SC; and his brother, David Swinson and wife, Katherine, of Chesterfield, VA. Richard was an member of Chester United Method Church for 40 years. He graduated from Thomas Dale High School, Class of 1972 and worked for thirty years with Dominion Energy. He retired as a maintenance supervisor and went on to do consulting for other power companies after retiring from Dominion. He was an avid golfer and was passionate about working on, building and racing cars. He loved God, music and most of all, his family. The family will receive visitors from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at their home.
