Richard Alexander Titmus, Sr.

May 10, 1941 — January 13, 2022

Richard Alexander Titmus, Sr., 80, of Dinwiddie, VA, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022. He was the son of the late, Berthel and Pearl Hargrave Titmus. Richard was a lifelong electrician and was a member of Kenwood United Methodist Church. He was a laid-back person who was always willing to help others. When he did a job, he did it to the best of his abilities. Mr. Titmus is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gale Oakley Titmus; a son, Richard Alexander Titmus, Jr. (Karen); one daughter, Rhonda Michelle Rowland; three grandchildren, Jackson Oakley Titmus, Edward Brennan Rowland and Shelby Lind Rowland (Anthony); and two great-grandchildren, James Cutter McGee and Anthony Salvatore Vitale. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Richard A. Titmus, Sr. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
