Riley Hamilton Tilley

Riley Hamilton Tilley, 81, of Chesterfield, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, February 10, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Riley Tilley and Lula Easter Tilley; and brother, Garland Perry Tilley. He is survived by his wife, Irene Reynolds Tilley; children, Brian Scott Tilley, Sharon Tilley Correia (Michael), and Virginia Tilley Schaar; grandchildren, Ashleigh Lauren Schaar, Michael Austin Correia, William Alexander Correia, and Ryan Christopher Schaar; and sister, Willa Faye Tilley Pruitt. Riley was a Veteran in the United States Army. He was the proud owner and operator of RMC Contractors. Riley was a 50 year member of Chester Masonic Lodge No. 94 and enjoyed being an active member of Second Branch Baptist Church. He loved his church, going golfing, visiting the outer banks, rooting for Virginia college sports (UVA and Tech) and the Atlanta Braves, but most of all he loved his family. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Second Branch Baptist Church, 2nd Branch Rd. Chesterfield, VA 23838. Interment will be private.
