Rita Marie Koch Rennebaum, 82, of Hopewell, VA, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2011. Rita was born on July 6, 1928 in New York City, New York, attended Brecksville High School, in Brecksville, Ohio, and St. John College and St. Alexis Nursing School, in Cleveland, Ohio. She served as a Registered Nurse at St. Alexis Hospital and Harrisburg General Hospital. She married Raymond G. Rennebaum in 1951 and began her new life as a devoted military wife and loving mother and homemaker. She is predeceased by her parents, Arthur G. and Helen Koch of Independence, Ohio; brothers, Art Koch and wife Katie, Bill Koch and wife Elaine; and her best friend and beloved sister, Ann Smart and husband Joe. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Colonel Raymond G. Rennebaum (US Army, Retired); and children, Raymond Jr. (California), Robin Malolepszy and husband David (Ohio), Rhonda McKee (North Carolina), Richard and wife Lynn (South Carolina), and Robert and wife Deanna (Florida); grandchildren, Lisa and David Edward Malolepszy; Anna McKee; Jacob, Lukas, and Josh Rennebaum; and Megan Rennebaum; and great grandchild, Morley Malolepszy; and her many and much loved nieces, nephews and their families. â??MeMeâ? enjoyed the beach and her gardens, and cherished her time spent with her family.
