Robert Howard Anderson, Jr.

December 14, 1939 - March 6,2025

Born in Richmond, Virginia, Robert moved with his family to multiple locations throughout the United States and Europe, due to his father's career as an Air Force Pilot. After graduation from Berlin (Germany) American High School, he enlisted in United States Air Force. He served in Iceland, Turkey, and North Dakota. He later attended Toccoa Falls Bible College in Toccoa Falls, Georgia. After returning to Virginia, he taught at a Chester Christian School, before becoming a long-term valued employee with Walmart, from which he retired. He was a dedicated and loving family man. Robert and his wife, Reita, fostered many children in need of care, before adopting their two sons.

He was a longtime member of Kingsland Baptist Church in North Chesterfield, where he and his wife lived for many years.

Robert is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Reita (Harris) Anderson; sons, Robert Lee Anderson (Karen), David Anderson (Casey) and numerous grandchildren; siblings, Diane Nash (Kenneth), Chris Anderson (Marigrace); numerous grandchildren; and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marguerite and father, Robert H Anderson.

A memorial service will be held on April 21, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Kingsland Baptist Church, 8801 Perrymore Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23237.
