Robert Wayne Bartley, 53, of Wakefield passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. He was the son of Robert J. and Janelle Elswick Bartley and the husband of Deborah B. Bartley.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by his children, Tiffany Busch and husband, Jay, Kasey Bartley and fiancé, Daniel Motley, Joseph Carter, Jr. and wife, Jackie, Melissa Carter and husband, Devin; grandchildren, Devon Carter, Emylie Muth, Mattilyn Busch, and Joseph Carter III; brothers, Thomas Bartley and wife, Sharon and Scott Bartley; nephew, Chris Bartley; niece, Maggie Bartley and great nephew, Colby Thomas Bartley.
The family will receive friends at the Wakefield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 11414 General Mahone Hwy., Wakefield, VA 23888 on Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 4 to 6 pm. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Grace Bible Church, 9577 George Washington Memorial Hwy., Ark, VA 23003. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wakefield Volunteer Fire Department, 155 Fleetwood Ave., Wakefield, VA 23888 or to Waverly Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 583, Waverly, VA 23890.
