Robert & Betty S. Ragsdale

Robert Gibson Ragsdale, Sr., 81, & Betty Sager Ragsdale, 72, of Dinwiddie County, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2005. Mr. Ragsdale was the son of the late John R. and Virginia Reames Ragsdale and was a well respected business owner in Dinwiddie County. Mrs. Ragsdale was the daughter of the late Edward M. and Lois Barnes Sager and would have celebrated 50 years of marriage to Robert on August 20. They are survived their children, Ann Ragsdale Mullikin of Richmond, Lois Virginia Ragsdale and husband, Jerry Alkire of Jacksonville, FL, R. Gibson Ragsdale, Jr. of Dinwiddie, and Charlotte Ragsdale Carnes and fiance, Mark Lane; their grandchildren, Adam Parks and Allyson Parks of Richmond; Robert?s sisters, Emeline Wright of Fairfax, VA, Virginia Ringer of Hillsboro, TX, and Mary Scott Harvey of Greenville, NC; his brother, George Ragsdale of McKenney; Betty?s brothers, Dr. Edward M. Sager of Albuquerque, NM and Robert J. Sager of Fort Worth, TX. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 4:30 PM Friday, August 19, at the Ragsdale Family Cemetery, Baltimore Corner.
