Robert B. Carroll, of Chester, Virginia, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the age of 77. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Robert, known affectionately as Bob, lived a life filled with warmth and devotion to his family. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Survived by his devoted wife, Virginia; his loving brother, Randy; his sister, Anita; and his three children, Robb, Don, and Patty. Bob also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who adored him.
Despite his quiet nature, Bob had a profound impact on those around him. He found joy in the simple pleasures, from collecting baseball caps, to the roar of NASCAR engines and the spectacle of pro-wrestling. But perhaps his greatest joy was spending time with his family, whether it was cheering on his favorite drivers, sharing stories around the dinner table, or simply enjoying each other's company.
In addition to his passion for NASCAR and wrestling, Bob quietly dedicated himself to helping his family at their local pawn shop. He worked diligently both behind the scenes fixing broken tools and at the counter, providing invaluable support to customers and family alike.
Bob had a special bond with his faithful companion, his dog Jack-Jack, who brought him comfort and joy throughout the years.
Bob will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church (3801 Beulah Road, Chesterfield, VA, 23237) on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Alzheimer's research in support of his wife.
