Robert Cates

Robert Christopher Cates, 82 died Thursday, April 27, 2006 at his residence. Born in Petersburg he was the son of the late Clarence Davis and Sarah Maude Kinker Cates. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice S. Cates, his sisters, Alice Juanita Hays and Janet Mason Cates. He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Ann Antosh and husband, Raymond; granddaughter, Lori Rebecca of Burke, VA; four brothers, Clarence L. Cates, Sr. (Vernell), William B. Cates, John E. Cates, Sr. (Dottie) and Henry L. Cates (Virginia), several nieces and nephews, several special friends, Christine Alcaraz of Chester, Luther Russell & Jordan Claytor both of Dinwiddie County. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday April 29, 2006 at Blandford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 Friday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crater Community Hospice, 840 W.
