Robert Lane Conner

Robert Lane Conner, 73, of Carson, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Page and Elizabeth Conner; his loving daughter, Brenda; and his brothers, Alan and Roger. Robert was a mechanic for many years, and believed that hard work was the key to a good life. He happily provided for his family while working long hours. In his time off, Robert enjoyed vacationing, in the Ohio Amish country, where he enjoyed the slower paced way of life. Robert and his family also enjoyed many trips to Myrtle Beach. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rebecca Conner; grandson, Conner James Frazier; great-grandson, Mason James Frazier; brothers, John (Becky), Don (Sue), Billy (Brenda), Wayne, and Chuck; sister, Tammy (Kyle); sisters-in-law, Peggy, Fay, Brenda, and Gaynelle (Bill); brothers-in-law, Lewis (Brenda Kay) and Robbie (Barbara); and a host of extended family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to devoted friend, Johnny Oakley and his sons, Trey and Matthew. Interment will be private; however, a celebration of life will be held at Carson Volunteer Fire Department on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 2:30 PM. Flowers are welcome, however donations are appreciated to either the Carson Community Food Pantry, PO Box 81, Carson, or the Carson Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 96, Carson.
