Robert Herman Dewolf

Robert H. DeWolf Retired E-7, a decorated WWII, Korea and Vietnam Veteran who served proudly in the Army for 27 years, passed away the 22nd of November, 2016. Among his many awards were his two Bronze Stars, two Army Commendation medals and seven good conduct awards. He was born in Blue Mounds, Kansas on April 18, 1923 to the late Joe and Jane DeWolf. He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Hobbs; sisters, Betty Joe DeWolf, June France, Ruby Caskie, and Mary Bishop; daughter-in-law, Nancy DeWolf; and Great Grandson, Charles Thomas Suitt, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Romona R. DeWolf; children, Judy Clark, Susan Kitchens (Donald), William DeWolf, Charles Davidson (Donna), and Melinda Pulley; Grandchildren, Patricia Heard (Special John), Rebecca Suitt (Charles), Jessica Brooks (Justin), Nichole DeWolf, Matthew Kitchens (Emily), Katherine Kitchens, and Jonathan Kitchens; Great Grandchildren, Kayla Stewart, Tiffany Heard, Joseph Stewart, Kevin Heard, Dixie Suitt, and Thomas Joseph Suitt; Great-Great Granddaughter, Mila Al-Zaidy. He is also survived by his brothers, Charles Hobbs, Jack Weathers, Albert Weathers; his sister, Ruth Mehl; and many close friends. A private military service was held with Pastor Michael Dettmer officiating. Please do not send flowers.
