Robert (Bob) â??Coonâ? Feild Hutto of Matoaca, age 75, passed away on December 29, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Mae Goins Hutto and his parents, Walter Decania Hutto and Frances Porter Hutto. He is survived by one daughter, Sherry H. Driskill and son-in-law Scott, granddaughter, Berkeley Elizabeth Driskill, all of Chesterfield; brothers Walter D. Hutto, Jr. (Cornelia) of Cincinnati, OH; William P. Hutto (Becky) of Birmingham, AL; Andrew G. Hutto (Becky) of Prince George and P. Randolph Hutto (Vonne) of Midlothian, numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Jake. Bob was born in Petersburg, a graduate of Petersburg High School Class of 1955.He married Johnnie Mae in 1961and they enjoyed 40 years together. He was a lifelong member of Washington Street United Methodist Church, former member of the Army National Guard, and was an active member of the Petersburg Lions Club. He began his career as a linotype operator for The Petersburg Progress-Index and for over 20 years worked as a Marine Cargo Surveyor. He enjoyed surf fishing at Hatteras, volleyball, boating, camping, watching NASCAR and cooking at the Annual Lions Club Fish Fry and Stew. He helped plan several PHS Class Reunions and kept in touch with many of those friends. â??Popâ? was especially proud of his granddaughter Berkeley and enjoyed watching her play sports. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 2 from 2:00 pm -4:00 pm at the J. T. Morriss Chapel in Petersburg. The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 3 at 11:00 am at Washington Street United Methodist Church in Petersburg. Burial follows at Blandford Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial gifts be made to Washington Street United Methodist Church or to the Ettrick-Matoaca Rescue Squad. Donations of blood may be made in Bobâ??s memory.
