Robert Lee Frazier

Robert Lee Frazier, 89, a longtime resident of Petersburg, VA, died Wednesday, August 31, 2016. Born in Granville County, NC, he was the son of the late Harry Lee and Lula Mae Hart Frazier. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Martha Clark Frazier, and two sisters, Charlotte Dempsey and Inez Atchley. Mr. Frazier was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and a retired employee of Continental Can. He was a longtime member and Deacon Emeritus of West End Baptist Church where he was a former Sunday school teacher Treasurer of the Church. He was a former member of the Petersburg City Council, and prior to his death, was the oldest living Past Master of Powhatan Starke Lodge No. 124 A.F. & A.M./Petersburg Lodge No. 15 A.F. & A.M. Mr. Frazier is survived by his sons, Mark Lee Frazier and Eric Clark Frazier; daughter, Kristine “Kris” Frazier; grandsons, Justin Lee Frazier and Mason Lee Frazier; great-granddaughter, Austin Lee Frazier; sister, Miss Madeline Frazier, numerous nieces and nephews, and a devoted caregiver, Melissa Dear. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at West End Baptist Church followed by interment at Blandford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
