Robert Joe Goad

Robert “Bob” Joe Goad, 65, of Chesterfield, VA passed away unexpectedly on December 28, 2019. Mr. Goad proudly served in the United States Air Force for 16 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a faithful, loving husband and father who gave his everything for his family. Mr. Goad is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Nancy Irving Goad; three children, Sara Wright (Billy), Robert Goad (Melissa), and Matthew Goad (Lisa); his mother, Martha; a sister, Linda; three grandchildren, Jorden, Alex and Taylor; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Midlothian Baptist Church, 11840 Lucks Lane, Midlothian, VA 23114. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2020 at the church. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Merchant’s Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George, VA. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
