Robert Goodman

Robert Bernard Goodman, age 74, of Chester, VA, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2008. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Meyer and Jeanne Herzog Goodman. Mr. Goodman died at Kindred Hospital in Richmond, VA, after complications from throat cancer surgery. He was a software developer, and an avid reader who studied politics and loved flying airplanes and helicopters. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a jet pilot during the Vietnam War. Mr. Goodman enjoyed writing and was Editorial Contributor of the Day during 2007 for the Richmond Times Dispatch. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Judy Q. Goodman; daughters, Sharon Goodman, of Camp Zama, Japan; Robin Jones and husband Stuart, of Brooklyn, NY; and Heather Goodman, of San Francisco, CA; and grandchildren, Aria Goodman and Corbin, Addison, and Quinn Jones. A memorial service will be held at Quantico National Cemetery on Friday, August 8, 2008 at 10 A.M.
