Robert Eric Hartnett

Robert Eric Hartnett, 57, of Chester, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015. He was the son of the late James F. and Dorthea Hartnett. He proudly retired from the Air National Guard and the Richmond City Police Department after many years of service. Bob was more recently employed with the National White Collar Crime Center. He had many hobbies and interests but most of all loved spending time with his grandchildren. Bob was a loving husband, father, and “Pepa”.He will be truly missed. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ann G. Hartnett; two daughters, Dawn Bohn and her husband, Robert, and Janet Johnson; nine grandchildren, Scott, Amber, Mason, Allison, Rachel, Rebekah, Emily, Bethany, and Cassidy; five siblings, Elizabeth Carrano, Steve Carrano, Chris Hartnett, Lorrie Stinson, and Josephine Carrano-Page; partners in crime, Mike and Jill Scurato; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 5, 2015 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 10300 Pridesville Rd., Amelia, VA 23002 at 3:00 pm.
